5 days ago I had unintentionally let my passenger side door mirror scrape along a support column in the car port. Now the bugger is virates and not steady when driving.

I dont know why that would cause the mirror itself to become unstable, does anyone have an idea what would have give way to allow the mirror to become unstable and is it repairable?

Thanks, Peter

have a look at my photo...there's not much to it. Either one of the 4 clips has cracked or the spring is bent/snapped. Just pull it off and have a look.

I found it best to move the mirror (the glass part) fully inwards, so there was a gap on the outside between the glass and housing. Then get a screwdriver in there and carefully prise the mirror away from the clips. I was surprised how easily it came off.
