You wash the car, then polish and then wax, in that order right? I'm trying to get my paint job to look a little bit better.

I'll give it a crack, i bought all the junk from work the other day, only the best of the best.
I'm not sure if I should cut or not. the paints prolly a little old and i don't want to wear it to thin. |

I'd hate to be your panel beater! Mr Sheen is a panel beater's worst nightmare, and Silicon is not easily removed it gets right into the paint.

Don't call me a detailer, that's putting me in with alot of cowboys in this country.
Seriously there are heaps of so called pro's giving great detailers a bad name I prefer to be called a refinisher. Go to the utmost extreme and use products that only a handful of people in this country know about. For the ultimate finish with little effort, wash, clay (decontaminate), paint cleanse or cut (use a polishing pad with machine first) or by hand, swirl mark removers, polish, enhance, glaze and seal There are a massive amount of polishes Some are light polishes that remove a very fine amount of paint and restore the gloss Others contain cutters in them and therefore will take more paint off and then there are solvent and VOC free finishing polishes that are extremely fine. I've got a big range of polishes from light, fine and ultra fine. For more check out my car care topics and tip of the day thread on FordForums.com.au

Meg's #9 swirl mark remover is too fine to remove most swirls but cars with moderate swirls will do the job
A good two step polishing after paint cleansing or cutting and then meg's #9 will produce good results. I do however prefer Poorboys due to their 4 swirl mark removers. Have a new article on ford forums.com.au in technical resources.

i used meguires for years ........then i tried the mothers 3 step system ie phase one cleaner phase 2 sealer and phase3 pure canuba wax followed by show car detailer (spray on wipe off) took me all bloody day to do.....but there is no way in the world that another product will ever touch my el xr8's paint again....AWSOME!!!!!!
ps meguires products went to be used up on the wifes hyundai...as the cost too much to throw out...lol |
