Yay, rims:

Image

's far as I know, they're off an old LTD. Any idea how old?

I only bought them because they were cheap, and I'm sick of having (and constantly losing) hubcaps.

I figure they look okay considering any improvement I make to the car's got to battle with that f**k bullbar before it makes any difference.

Planning to give them a strip and a scrub this weekend..probably won't, though. Lazy.

The lil plastic nutcaps in the centre of the rims..is there any danger in respraying those with new chrome paint? A couple of them have large scratches and gouges in the paint.

Yarr.

It's an EL.

I'm not super fond of them, but I don't reckon they look better or worse than the plastic hubbies that were on there before.

Put the hubcaps back on.
I really hate cars with back dated older style rims on. Eg new commodores with 14" dragway rims or 97 falcon with 89 LTD rims.

Pull the bullbar off and put the old rims back on - then you have a reasonable car again.

I wish I was in Sydney. I lied on the profile location thing which demands a city and state 'cause I'm in a fairly small town and figured it'd be kinda specific to list where. :|

I'm in the middle of nowhere, NSW, really. Hence the bullbar. Which I hate, but can't really justify removing.

As for the hubcaps, I lost two out of four of the original Ford ones (f**k mechanics :|), and I've had Supercheap ones on since. Can't really be bothered to chase down another set of Ford caps considering they'll probably just disappear over time anyway.

So yeah. s**t rims. Like I said, they were cheap, and I can always replace 'em with something else later on.

The EL Hubcaps were undoubtedly the best matching Hubcaps that were ever made for an E or A series Ford I reckon.
