what section size and sidewall series are your current 17"rims? there are plenty of tire size calculators around where you can bung in your current tire/rim specs then choose 19*8 as the new size and they will spit out the proper width and profile so as not to affect your rolling diameter

Okay, you'll need a 235/35/19 - your speedo will be out by .5% low, meaning if you're doing 100kmhr on your speedo, you're actually travelling 100.5 kmhr. This is fine though, as speedos generally read a touch fast from factory, and if you can pick .5kmhr on the speedo you're doing bloody well lol.
A 225/35 will go the opposite way, read .5kmhr fast, but I wouldnt fit one that narrow on a 8" rim, so a 235/35 is the way to go. |

im pretty sure 225 and 235 are how wide the tyre is not how high the wall is

Sherlock. 235/ is width /35/ is the sidewall height as a percentage of the tyre width You have an 8" wide rim, you fit 'wide' tyres to protect the rim from rough roads/potholes/gutterbashing. |

Serious?
It does matter how high the sidewall is - that is what throws your speedo out. A 245/35 is 1.7% out. |

Is that aspect ratio of the sidewall? quite often a 225 will have a marginally lower sidewall compared to a 235 or 245. Sorry couldn't help meself!

I'd say 235/35/19's as previously suggested would be sweet!

Factory fitment on those rims is 245/35/19.
235 will fit, but may look a tad skinny, depending on brand. Maxxis Z1 is a reasonably priced tire in that size that is actually quite good for the $$$. |

"Factory" is a bit subjective here.... considering E series didnt come out with 19"s. 235 or 245s would be fine, I was just suggesting the one that would keep the speedo most accurate. As for the Maxxis Z1's, I actually have those in 245/45/18 on the front of my EF, and they are in fact a very good tyre. They came with the rims when I bought them so I went to check out the price for replacements one arvo, from what I can remember they were cheap as too. |
