hi im looking at upsizing the rims on the EB and am just wondering what size 16 17 18 suits these cars without modding the suspension or lowering it? i really just wana slap them on so they look good under the guards and not have to compromise the ride too much either,
its got aftermarket rims on it now but they are the standard 15inch size and the ride is pretty sweet but it looks a bit small thats why i dont wana have it rattling along and being stiff as. just want some advice as to whats a good middle ground, also while im here i need the rear window re-tinted anyone know a good place to go to? or know someone who can do a good job looking for a cashie? it needs to be in melbourne tho thanks guys |

They look stupid with big rims without lowering.

I'm with the above...
The bigger the wheel with a massive gap under the guards is going to look like the current model hilux's that get around here with like like 22's on them and have been jacked up 4 inches in addition... Just looks friggin stupid... Personally I think 18's look the ideal size... 19's maybe... 20's don't look like they have enough tire... I have 17's and pedders grey springs (the lower ones) and this is still a fairly rough combo for around here (roads are s**t house)... But feels real good on a decent bit of road when you find one that trucks haven't ruined Cheers, Tim

imo the only rim that you could use that gives you slightly bigger rims without getting the huge gap from tyre to guard, would be 16" with 225 0r 235/65 series tyres..

Mate if you are gonna send $$$ on mags spend $$$on the suspension.
Im running superlow fronts and pedders red rears with new munro gt gas shocks all around. I did this BEFORE I got 18s. Drives handels rides way way better. Looks way better even on the stock rims. Adding some 18s into the mix finished the picture. Springs arnt that expencive and you won't look like a 4x4. |

try 15-17 any larger the tyres dont work as part of the suspension, and the ride gets rougher, price the tyres for the rims and make your mind up.get a wheel alinement and check all the angles,it may have to be corrected with after market bits,or you may have worn parts in the suspension.

I have some xr front springs from a 92 xr6. Ran them in my car on standard shocks and droped it about 2.5 -3cm. With same if not better ride.
But now I have superlows so they are just sittin here. |
