Just wondering what the offset for an 8" mag wheel
from a Skyline fitment is...??

I understand that the stud pattern is the same as Ford's,
but what about matching a BA offset of +35..??

what skyline model?

i pretty sure they are 5x114.3 +40 (same as hilux, magna, camry, hiace, kluger, AUI II III, BA MKI MKII BF MKI MKII and FG) goes on and on. most cars are running that setup.

Not sure which Skyline model it is.

I found this page and it seemed to help a bit, but there are differences
between the models.

The old square skylines are different IIRC.
The late 80s (start of rounder shape) onwards are the same as AU+

It depends. What skyline (R32/R33/R34), what Variant (GT,GTS,GTS-T,GT-R), and how wide are the wheels.

They all had the 5x114.3 PCD. The Genuine wheels all had different offsets based on the above. for example the R32 GTR's had a lower offset then the others - I can't remember what exactly as it has been years since I looked at this. Another thing to keep in mind is that most skyline wheels are not interchangable front to rear. The width of the rims on some models were different. I had a set of Skyline rims on My EF. They were originally on an R33 GTS-T. The fronts were 7" wide, and the backs were 8".

my house mate has a R32 and brought some 17s 29+ offset and they didnt fit my falcon because the center cap bit was to small on the skyline rim... wouldnt fit over that middle bit(dont know what its called sorry)was just trial fitting them to have a look at the offset)

The reason I posted this thread was these wheels (from a Skyline) for sale on Ebay....
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... 0381625432

The seller tells me they have an offset of +35, which suits the BA-BF etc.
I think I'll pass on them anyway....

Wheel offset is not always 35/40+ for AU onwards Falcons. Depending on how wide the wheel is will depend on what offset is correct for that application. If the wheels are 10" wide then the offset is more likely to be 20+ or somewhere around there (there's a way to calculate it, but I can't be a*** at the moment) as if it didn't change you'd have that increase in width going inside (towards the suspension) and would probably find it fouling.
I'd suggest doing some reading on what exactly offset is. There's calculators on the net etc. for working out what you need when changing wheels to different sizes.

That is not that expensive to get that centre bore hole increased.

For AU+, you can run up to 9" on the original offset, if you went to +20 and a 10" rim, you'll have an inch or so of rim sticking out of the guard.

You can use Skyline wheels (or most jap wheels for that matter) on the Aussie ford, for instance there is the guy with the FG With R34 GTR skyline wheels. just make sure that you don't go too wide with too low of an offset.

a +18 offset 9.5" rim needs the guards rolled to clear on an AU, they fit under the back of an E-Series with no problems
