Since before i even had my car i always liked the look of the EL GT rims. They were also the larfest rim available and came form an EL GT so when i got my car they were an nobvious choice.
However lately i have seen a number of other wheels that i have quite liked the look of mainly in 18's and 19's. What wheels do other like the look of in 18 or 19" size? If possible post pics. I dont mind ROH fury's and am looking for some other ideas and thoughts? Ultimately it will come down to how much i can get for my current rims as well, i know they are $850 per wheel no tyres to buy new...

18's... 19's look too big IMO.
EL GT's won't fetch huge amounts anymore, simply because of the copies that are available, unless you find someone willing to pay a premium for a set of genuines, most people will just get the copies at a reduced price. i'm planning 18's for my car, all the sets of 19's just seem to look too big (though ur brakes might help that)

listen i will give u my advice and i hope u take it lol,
the man is right 19s are to big. dont do what jet xr did and get thoes hp design rims every one has them. look for 18 inch deep dish rim or if u want get the f6 rims i think they look so hot . so good luch but definity 18s becuase u can dump it more and it will look nicer. |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't all the copies only 17x8?
The genuines have that extra half inch in width...

The genuines have that extra half inch in width... corrrect... but *a lot* of people who are buying alloys are doing it for the looks, not for handling or traction. infact plenty of them put stockies on for drags etc. while for someone, genuines might be worth paying a premium for, most people just want wheels that look good. not to mention insurance companies not liking 8.5" wide rims, where as 8" wide is perfectly fine

I reckon the BA GT-P rims would be taking a step backwards on your EL
I reckon stick with the EL GT's Aaron - They suit EL's to a tee - love the deep(er) but subtle dish on them...otherwise CSA quakes have been one of my faves but every man and his dog has them...which I don't see as an issue unless you want something different to everyone else (relatively speaking) |

I would also say stick with the EL GTs, they suit the car, and especially the colour. If you really want to change them, my choice of the 18s are Mk1 GT wheels, the same as Fuzion has fitted to his EL. 19's look a bit stupid in my opinion, your EL GTs suit it so well, and being genuines, I wouldn't be letting them go.

The GT MKII rims are awesome, saw a set on a super pursuit at sandown.
I say you get them.

These same people might put their 17" rims back on after they have finished dragging because the 17"s will have less tire flex and have more traction around corners horses for courses mate |

If I were home I may even be interested in genuine ELGT rims as long as there were no scratchesmarks etc and for a realistic price..
However they are 8.5" wide and my insurance company won't like that. 8" is maximum and what I currently have. To be honest though, keep with your current rims pyro. You don't think you're unique? How much 'more' unique can you possibly be??
