I usually use 3M or Farecla but but have just started using another called Juice Polishes (never heard of it before but works really well) and it works pretty much the same and is worth the same. I have the good equipment not some cheap crap from autobarn

Ive got this opaque film starting to apear on the roof, and boot of the AU. would a cut and polish fix this?

More details on the procedure would be apreciated, since I know not much about paint.

Not sure mate could you post a pic?

Well first off i give the car a quick was to get rid off any dirt and dust thats on the body so it makes my life easier later on. Then i mask up any rubbers or plastics that i dont want to get the buff pad on. Then i will carefully buff the paint work until im happy with it. Then i will go and wash it once again to get all the cutters that has been blown into door jams etc and then give the car a liquid polish and then its all done.

To be honest i have never acutely timed my self but 2-3 hours is all it takes if you know what you are doing. I buff ad least one car a day at work so im competent at doing it. At the end of the day it dosnt matter how long it takes as long as the var is 100% perfect thats all that matters.
If i need to take all day then i will if i only need 2 hours then its a bonus.
& here is my buff and new pad..
