cut to the chase, ba mk2 modified a little:

extractors, exaust, lowered, rims, and so on.
My car seems to shut off every so often atleast once every couple of days at radom. Freeway or back street. I have taken it ford and they state that it is due to the exaust levels not reading correctly due to my mods. They have reset the sensors located near the near the manifold but still shuts off at radom. Can someone shed some light on this as funny as it may be it really is sometimes a dangerous situation.

help would be most welcomed

I could imagine it being dangerous. The car turning off would be some sort of engine danger feature if it doesn't like the look of something (such as air fuel ratio). Get your car flashed and tuned, should fix all the problems and give you more power and fuel economy.

So it never did it before you exhaust mods?

What a load of s**t from ford. as if the enigne would just shut off from having a performance exhaust on it??!! I understnad if it might idle a little ruff or whatevere but not the engine turn off for f**k sakes. Have you though of Flash tuning it? might fix the bug in it.

Its a performance flash tune from C.A.P.A. its a little box that just plugs int the port underneath your dash and flashes the memory and gives t HEAPS more go while still retaining everyday idle and driveablilty It "flashes" or "re-writes" the standard tune and wil possibly get rid of hatever "bug" you have.

you get a black box (the flash tuner) and you go to a tuning workshop and they dyno tune your car for you. The flash tuner can hold 3 tunes which you can change between as often as you like. For eg. you can have a valet tune, a 95ron tune and a 98 ron tune.
