Tyres have to be fitted to appropriately sized rims.

A 245 will legally only go on a 8 to 9" wide rim.

Some shops will stretch tyres, but they should tell you it's not legal. Other shops plain old won't do it.

Plus it really only suits VIP styled jap cars. FAT rubber is the go for a XR8.

ok Tech9Tyres have told me 9.5" wide fits without rolling
and if i get my guards rolled, i can fit 10" wide rims

so 10" wide rims it is.

ordering this week :D

You ordering direct?
I had fun dealing with them when I 'tried' to order mine :P
Gave up after I had to chase them down 3 times over the phone for simple info on offset, each time they said they'd ring me back with the numbers

funnily enough:

emailed simmons for a quote
around $3600 delivered, just for rims

went to a rim place in osbourne park,
they quoted me $3500, just for rims.

went to tech9tyres, who deal with simmons a lot
for $3400 ive got
19x8.5 front, 19x10 rear
swap tyres off factory 19s, and put on FR19s
fit and balance FR19s
roll guards
