whats the widest rim i can run on the FG?
of course rolling guards is a must, but is there anything else i need to allow rims to fit? im looking at 19x8.5" (front) and 19x10" (rear) so has anybody run 10" wide rims on BA/Fs ? also, lowered on superlows im running 295/50/R15s on a 8" wide rim on my EF, so im guessing it should be ok, but i just making sure before i get these rims made |

frank, i was under the impression it might be the same as a BA/F
bassfreak, the BF F6 is my dads the XR5T is my mums (ive got the EF XR6T, the XG and the TX3T lol) ive ordered the XR8 - black, 6spd manual, with luxury pack i got the XR8 because i wanted a 8, and the 6Ts are too easy to mod to get high power, so i also got the 8 to quell my temptations to mod it for power. haha i work offshore in the oil & gas industry. im a ROV supervisor, meaning i control underwater robots from the surface. lol |

From what i have been told from a wheels place, ba/bf can fit a max of 9.5" on the rears (10" on the utes). Wouldn't have a clue with the fg's though

The wheel size on the rear would be very similar on the FG as a BF, I read that the difference in the rear end is that each wheel is mounted 15mm further out (apparently for looks). The same wheel size with a different offset will probally fit.

I'm looking at fitting some 19x9.5's with 275's on my GT-P. Doesn't require any guard rolling. Can't imagine a 10" being too hard to fit, if you roll the guards, and of course pick the right offset to get them away from the suspension a bit.

frank, haha ill remember that for future lol
yeh ill try that, might be easier to wait for the XR8 to arrive and measure that fourLG, i guess ill wait and see what happens punktured, thanks for that info matt, ill try my hardest NOT too. ive got a track day on the 29th June, but ill take the EF, lokka + boost = more fun haha colin, interesting, that means the offset would be greater. ill have to keep that in mind, thanks data_mine, thats what i wanna hear also, ill be getting tyres stretched onto the rims 245s can be stretched onto 10" rims |

For what its worth, on the xr6 there is not much room from wheel & tyre to the actuall upright, 10-15mm or so.

Quote: Matt,
We normally do 8.5 front 9.5 Rear for BF as the safe fitment. 19 x 8.5 = $XXX each incl GST 19 x 9.5 = $XXX Painted centre/Polished outer rim (polished centre +$143 per wheel) Freight to Perth $30 per wheel Cheers Simmons Wheels i guess ill have to play it safe and go 9.5" |
