The black strips that are on either side of the windscreen, Do these hold the windscreen in or are they there for show?
The one's on my NC are flaking & rusty & before I pull them off either car I want to know if they are structual or for show?

they are a bit of both i suggest taking them off and peeling the black power coat of and you will have chrome strips or just sand and paint them....

You could always get them re-powder coated in semi gloss black......Shouldn't cost anymore than $60.
