Was driving along Thursday and next thing water is comming in through windscreen. I look up and watch the windscreen slowly sliding down!!! pulled over and pushed it back up into the rubbers and then drove home where i pushed it back in!!!
Anyone else had the sikaflex let go before? How hard is it to pull it out and refit?

Wow...that's new. I guess it would be easy to take the windscreen out without cracking it
 .
I have never seen any car have their windscreen come off before...so whoever replaced the windscreen last must've done the most dodgiest job ever. phong =P~

That wouldn't be surprising, it was done by the only windscreen repairer in Roma SW Queensland. I didn't trust him as far as i could throw him!!!
My guess is he's used cheap a*** sealant as opposed to sika flex. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to get old sealant out of the sill without scratching paint and causing rust??

I replaced mine around 18 mths ago - I bought the windscreen separately, and had a windscreen mob fit it - in my situation, it was the cheapest option. Most have mobile vans, cost me around $60 to remove old and fit new.
If the screen came out that easily, you'll probably find the sealant may just peel off. The proper sealant is urethane, and the windscreen channels and windscreen are urethane primed before the sealant is laid. Speak to a few windscreen places, tell them what's happened - they'll recommend what is best. That screen would be a nice missile if you need to suddenly stop - so probably lucky to discover it when you did.

I've had this happen too, caused by a dodgy fit.
It was the rear screen in another car, i wound my window down one day, and it just flew out and shattered on the road. Anyway, as said, just by the remover, and some new sikaflex and refit yourself. Just make sure you get the rigfht sika, theere is a certain one or two for screens, can't remember the number but sorry. Andrew.
