Hey guys,
I know a few E series owners have the XB/XC bonnet flutes in place (like SWC). How do you go about manageing water run off. EG.. on a rainy day.. water is going to come in the flutes and onto a potentially hot engine. Is there a risk in damaging the engine? I'm getting the flutes installed (proper metal not fibreglass as its illegal here in WA) and am thinking the best approach might be to leave the engine cowl on so the water runs off down the side of the engine... Thoughts anyone? |

I have the XB bonnet scoops on my EB, courtesy of SWC, and I have never had any issues with water going into the engine bay.
I have driven it through some pretty strong rain. What model EL is it? The Fairmont bonnet is a bit more level than an XR or GLi but even then water naturally falls away from the scoops. Cheers BenJ

Hey mate,
Cheers for that. I'd have loved for SWC to do a bonnet for me, but WA makes it cost prohibitive. Its going in on Monday. EL Fairmont Ghia. No pics of your scooped EB under your profile? |
