ive seen a xd ute with ef front bar , guards, and bonnet i was wondering if any one has done this mod and if so does anyone have any hints or do they just bolt straight up ? bought a v8 clev 302 fully reco for a carton of new :lol:

I am pretty sure that you are referring to the XH ute. They are the ones that have the EF front. Everything behind the guards is identical to the XD. Even the interior has a resembelence to the XF.

yes was referring to xh ute do u know if the guards etc will bolt straight up or is some cutting involved

i've seen an XD -> XF sedan (don't know which one it was) that had the XH panels on the front, looked real weird but i'd say its all bolt on.
i'm not 100% on it though.

i've seen an XF wagon with XH front end, didn't look to bad.

my mate looked into this and asked someone who did it if it was possible he had a xg and wanted to fit xh front the guy told him you need everything from firewall forward to be changed not sure how true that is but is scared my mate off lol

i have seen a xd ute with a BA front on it. headlights bonnet and bumper that would of been a lot of metal work

It's not an easy swap, it is pretty much the whole firewall forward that needs to be swapped, that's why you don't really see any cars with the mod done to them.
