Start whoring yourself around your local wreckers, that's how I got a complete kit for $500!!

Is price the only consideration? Do you really think you've got a bargain by buying cheap junk?

Cheap junk?? Quality is quality, regardless of price... If you can get the same stuff for less, it just makes it cheaper, not junk. My bodykit also cost me $500. (Probably from the same wreckers as Amber).

The upshoot is that now I can say I have a GENUINE ford XR kit fitted. This makes it much easier to fit (spray painter's opinion not mine) and sounds better for resale. Incidently, I paid as much for the front spoiler as I did for the rest of the kit because that's what I NEEDED to pay for the look I wanted...

I agree. I bought an EL aftermarket front skirt from Bob and traded it for a genuine EF one. Very glad I did as the genuine one is much better to attach in my opinion. Only problem is the genuine one was harder to prep for painting in my opion than the fiberglass stuff...
As for the side and rear skirts aftermarket was my only option due to being a wagon. From what I understand I got them from the same mob who supply Bob and there were a few faults...
Personally I don't believe price reflects quality.

The skirts have screws that mount them onto the existing bumper bars whilst the triangular door pods have a combination of clips and sikaflex...

i am looking at purchacing a genuine EL xr body kit, however the rear bar of the body kit has the hole for the tow bar, can this hole be covered up with the same piece that covers the hole on the normal bumper bar?
