Before FM crashed lat time ( ) there was a thread on adjusting XR headlights. Since I didnt keep it I was wondeirng how they are adjusted.

ALSO after repalceing my left head light (normal beam) it rarely works now, and I often drive with one light which seems a bit dangerous. However when i pop the bonnet, turn the knob at the back the light shines through normal. Hit a bump and it disappears. What would be causing this, a simple loose connection?

Sounds like it ... knocks from bumps in the road etc may be causing the connection to loosen or briefly detach.

Could be more but sounds like something simple...i'd check the connections again and make sure thery're secure before worrying about much else...also be mindful if picky cops are around they could defect you
