Just follow the directions on the Mods page, and you will have great headlights in about an hour! If you cant find plexipolish, "Mothers Plastic Polish" ($17.95) from Supa Crap Autos does the trick....
Im a skeptical bastard, so was pleasantly surprised. Why would i eva doubt my ford brothers?!

I did this today as well.
Didn't take all that long too though I did take my time . Couldn't get any plexus as well so I used McGuires scratchx and that did a good job.Had to hunt 'round for some 2000 wet n' dry paper and soon managed to locate some local . I found it easier to remove the indicaters by tapping it forward where the screw goes ( in that notch that the screw slots into ) . Use a flathead screwdriver and gently tap forward on the indicater . I used a rubber hammer to tap with so if you got one handy use it . On the first go ( following the mods directions )the indicater lens popped off so I glued it back onto the indicater with superglue . I also used masking tape and then got hold of some plastic type tape we got at work and then taped over the masking tape with it , did the job good . All in all I was quite impressed with how it went and recommend it to anyone contemplating doing it 'cos it does a great job . After that I went and replaced all my bulbs with xenon and it all looks great . |

i did this on a mates car a while ago used 1500 wet n dry first then 2000 and polished it with brasso.. came out like new..

ive done this a few times, comes up very white and nice and clear, but you can still see some scratches where the sandpaper has done its work is this normal?

not if you follow the mod directions on sanding - I just literally took my time . My finish has no scratches or nothing whatsoever . I'm actually thinking of getting hold of some headlight covers - I wonder if this is a good idea - I think it is . |

I did it using 2000 wet and dry and then used the plexus stuff....but i have to say the performance of the lights at night was still crap compared to new....
do any of u use an electric buffer with the polish? I just used plexus on a rag and yeah it was pretty disappointing..

yeah i did the wet/dry 2000 and plexus, maybe im looking too closly at the headlights...
but true they have improved, but they still SUCK compared to my old EL's headlights |

ive been meaning to get around to doing this, but have yet to find any 2000 wet n dry? is it rare or do you just have to know where to look? ive only looked at a few bunnings but they didnt have it, only had up to 1600 from memory..

I had no problems finding some at Autobarn, when I did mine I was in a rush, it took the Yellow off them but there still s**t, maybe I need new Globes?

Super Cheap -something or other -can't remember the full name of the store was where I got my 2000 wet n' dry from but I would think most of the bigger branches of the auto stores will have it or your dedicated auto paint supply store will have it . "People !" Try to follow the mod directions when it comes to the sanding process. Take your time and be particular with the sanding process and try to be a little fussy so that you will get a decent enough result . |

Supercheap has all grades of wet n dry up to 2000.
Also when you use the 2000 use it lightly, do not press hard. If you do it lightly it does not leave any marks, and when something like cut n polish is used they come up very good. Did mine in around an hour. |

G'day fellas, I think the best way to get your headlights like new without any damage what so ever is to get a spunge, dip it in some cut and polish and with a bitta yakka rub it into the headlight. It works real good and will get even the most yellow headlight looking like new.
