G'day all, just after some info on how to set the clock on ther dash of the above car I've just bought. Unfortuately it came without a manual and I'll be f**ked if I can figure it out. If one of you blokes in the know could help me out it would be much appreciated. Also - where abouts could I pick up a copy of the user manual (not the service one)?

iirc hold down search and reset and then let go. if that doesn't work try letting go of search first, then reset.

Also what can you guys tell me about self leveling suspension - is it all fully auto or can you control it yourself? Gotta say I like how the car raises when you fire her up!

I believe it is at a fixed position.
A word of warning. The Self Levelling Suspension is know to fail, and can be costly to repair. Most members usually remove the SLS at this time and put in normal springs and shocks. Cheers BenJ

Yeah a few people have told me that mate, thanks. Is it very expensive to replace with springs and shockies when / if it fails? Hopefully I get a couple of years out of the SLS as it only has 86000 on the clock and was really well looked after by the previous owner.
If anyone out there has any advice at all for a newbie to fairlane's - I'd love to hear it. I love my car, but don't really know much about it... and after several hours searching this forum it seems you guys know just about all there is to know! |

Std Sedan parts will fit, but a lot prefer to put in lowered springs front and back.
You will often see std height springs being given away, but a full set of Kings Springs Lows go for around $240 - $300 plus shocks. Cheers BenJ

It's fully automatic, it'll adjust height when the engine is on and the car doors closed. It should alert you when it's making adjustments. If you don't want to use it you can do as others have suggested, replace the shocks, or just remove the fuse from the panel.
