Hey guys, i've been quoted $800 bucks to get climate control fitted to my el futura. apparently it's a pretty big job which requires a bit of stuffing around with computers wiring and the rest. does this seem steep or cheap for something like this to be done?

I think its a great price.

I'd say parts for the job are around $400. People want big money for the Climate Control Computer/Dash display.

Parts should cost no more than $275 (without reciever/dryer) from a reputable wrecker.
Reciever/dryer should be around $90.
Not sure how much charging should be.

The wrecker you go to doesn't look after me as well as you. I say we all send Chris to do our parts shopping :D

I was quoted $400 6 months ago :x

Waggin,

Tony at MacArthur Parts looks after me well, eh. Don't even want to think how many $$$ I have put across his desk.

Not bad, when I got that $6500 TS engine for $4500.
