Alright so all was going well tonight the girlfriend was working untill 9pm cause of thursdaynight late night shopping..i went and brought somethings..so i had 2 plastic bags one half full of rubbish from me not being able to wait to open things and and another with just a dvd in it..so i decided to get my phone wallet and car keys from my bag that had the rubbish in it and put in the the bag with the dvd cause it was smaller and i hate carrying s**t.. the reason i had my stuff in my bag is cause i was wearing footy shorts... well getting to the point i forgot i had my car keys in the bag dumped the rest of my rubbish in it then threw it out...10mins later when she finished work i realised i didnt have my keys on me. i found a cleaner who said they just emptyed the bins and put the bin liner bags in the compactor so i ran out to to.. just as the lady started the machine up..and we could get to every binbag cept for the one with my keys. so now there all crushed up... anyone know if i can get a key from ford to put in my car and connect the 2 together or will i have to change the whole ignition to?

f**k, well I believe you can get one cut from ford, think you just need your vin, and probably some proof of ownership. Otherwise, if ford no longer do it, and you can get into your car, pull a lock barrel out, and take it to a locksmith, most decent ones should be able to cut one from that.
have you just lost your keys, or wallet, phone keys, etc.

just take the vin number and proof of ownership to your local locksmith and they should be able to cut you another key

you can just unclip and remove all the carpet or whatever on the boot lid, unclip the rod on the lock end, remove the metal clip holding it onto the boot on the inside then just push it out

the key has no electrical connection to the car, it just fits in the locks and opens them
no need to relearn the remotes or anything else

u only had 1 key for the car? not different key for doors and another for ignition or boot.

For SmartLock, the keys don't have anything that needs programming. It's only the remotes, and the ignition barrel.

SmartShield (AU2+) the keys need to be programmed to the BEM.
