A/C Question - Air Vent Stuck?

ok so where am i holding the flap in the closed position from?!

i had a similar prob in my fairmont with the climate control, we ended up doing tests on the control part, swapped some wires around and now it worked fine, as you said the heater was gettin stuck on, we dont know exactly wat we did but the air con and heater works fine now and has been for about 10 months

You stick your hand in from the bottom, the flap will most liekly be stuck against the front side of the box (closest to the engine). You'll need to pull it back and up (towards the seat). Then screw like mad :oops:

Done and done, but i think i need a re-gas its bee about 15 months since i had it done. Its blowing cold air but not air con cold air if you know what i mean

It only takes 15-20 minutes to remove the dash. Makes the job alot easier.

Maybe if you've done it a million bazillion times before :lol:

For us mere mortals, it take a little (?!?!?) longer.

just wanted to say thanks for ur help guys. I got my air con re-gassed for like $70 yesterday and it works like an icy cold charm!! :lol: hehe
