Long time no post, surprised I remembered my login/password, my how the forums have changed!
Just picked up a '94 ED XR6, the plan is keep it as a nice daily while the TL gets some rest.
I've had a look through this subsection but can't find exactly what I'm after, the questions are:
Which interior setups can be moved straight over with little to no trouble and which ones take more time...
eg, door trims from NF/NLs, dashs from EF/ELs etc, I'm fairly sure EA/ED are all interchangeable with seats and dashes...
also, seats from later models, ie, AU/BA onwards, how hard/easy is it to get them in and bolted down (front and rear)?
Centre console etc I am also interested in.
Might keep browsing, see what I can find!

hey mate...
im 90% all of the e series door trimes are interchangerble ea-el
for the dash... ea-ed are straight in an out
but ef/el into ea-ed you need to get full wiring loom or you can mod the other loom
back seats im pretty sure are in an out....ea-el (don't quote me though but pretty sure)
for the front seats ea-ed are all in an out.... but ef/el into ea-ed out of the for leg thingys one of the back ones you need a spacer or similair to fill the gap

for the front seats this is what i mean.... these are ba/bf but the same aplies to the ef/el seats i think (don't quote me but i m pretty sure)
the-garage-f53/the-hybrid-eb-build-dohc-xr6-ba-interior-and-a-el-xr-front-t77902-180.html

hope this helps mate.. this is about as much as i kno for the interior as i m looking at doing my ea with a ef interoir upgrade...

best of luck dan

Cheers mate, been doing a lot more reading and found out pretty much anything is possible with enough time, money and patience.
I'm looking at either a cappuccino interior (I reckon it'd look allright with the black car colour) or just striaght black AU/BA interior but would rather something different from the TL.
Will be going for AU IRS change, T5 and a BA onwards DOHC with some turbo, but this is a long term thing, need a couple small things done to the TL first...

Progress is as good as can be expected considering I work full time + hours.
I'm on eBay and pickles most other days but all the bargains and what not seem to be in the eastern states, the best I've found was a driveable NC going for under $1000 in vic with a decent interior, but it was a bit to far away from the airport to fly in and drive home (& there's really not enough room for another car on the property).
However most of the small things have been fixed.
Rear window tint was completely shagged, now removed and the glass looks better than new (all demisters still intact!) :P
Door locks/ignition barrel/boot lock replaced, 2 new smartlock remotes found on eBay.
Bonnet and boot struts replaced.
Slotted discs and bendix pads all round.
For around $1000 I reckon I can have the suspension 90% done which is probably next on the list (new shocks, springs complete nolothane fitout)
It'll get there.... slowly.
