OK, I Think im going to take the plunge and do the mod...
I know Happy did this mod not too long ago, and those photos look kind of scary, but I'm game... In the technical document, it says PLEASE NOTE : Due to some conflicting information regarding te Fan Speed Controller wiring, I have deliberately left this section out, until I can be 100% sure of how this module should be wired up. Hopefully this information will be sorted out shortly, and the correct information will be posted on the website ! So........is the information now available? Will the looms just "plug and play" or is there other s**t I need to add/wire in? Havent had a chance to check out the Gregorys yet...is it easy enough to remove the sterring column? I reckon it should be eh? Any other advice would be very much appreciated! PLEASE........! Last edited by the_scotsman on Fri Dec 23, 2005 11:13 pm, edited 2 times in total. |

that is only a consideration if you use existing looms (low gli/futura ones) if you swap the entire loom to a high series one it will be fine!

Just reading over your post again on the conversion...in one of the photos, you have a s**t of what looks like added wires under the steering column, hanging there...did you have to end up adding extra wires for anything?
Its no big deal, I just want to make sure I get all the s**t together before handing over the coloured paper...lol... |

they're hooked up to the spotties on the front and the car phone kit - nothing you need to worry about!

lol - apart from those wires everything else is factory loom i have fitted, no extra wires going anywhere else - which makes it very easy to diagnose as well - another benefit for replacing a loom rather than running heaps of wires!!

absolutely,
Hacksaw took care of fitting the FSC, and a lever (aka screwdriver) and a drill turned my aircon 'arm' into a CC 'arm'. No need to drain coolant and refridgerant.
