I have a BA xr6 Turbo, if I want the air con on I have to have it on high then to turn it off I have to take out the fuse, the air con guy said to take it to an electrician as it needs a fan resister but the electrician said the BA's weren't made with resisters, he wants to pull the dash out costing big bucks has any one had the same prob. Hope some one has some ideas what it could be, Thanks

Hi sort of, not happy though, because I'm not prepared to pay up to a $900 for the dash to come out, the electrician has put a switch in the glove box so when I want the air con on or the heaters I have to flick this switch and I will have air. The part I don't like it will be on high all the time then I have to flick it to turn it off. Stupid idea but better than nothing I suppose.

Well definitely don't pay 900 if he doesn't know whats wrong with it.
if he does know.i recommend shopping around and asking how much it would cost to fix the thing the electrician quoted.

My brother has a ba stocky
and he said he has no issues
but maybe because yours is turbo it needs more cooling power.

good luck.

Sounds like you need a new HIM - its what controls all the climate settings - it is a dash out job too!
