Hi guys, a few questions on the wiring in an EF (GLi)
My gauge instructions for the gauge say I need the following connections Air/Fuel Gauge Red and White - 12V positive power ignition source that is turned on/off with ignition. Orange - Connect to 12V dash lighting Black - Ground Green - Air/Fuel signal I've figured out Red-DarkGreen wiring would be 12V ignition power. (to connect to 'Red' and 'White' gauge wires). Is 12V Dash Lighting DarkBlue-Red wiring or Pink-Black wiring? The Air/Fuel signal wiring is a mystery. There is a large Green wire under the steering column, but nothing is obvious in the Max Elery's manual. Any help would be awesome! Thanks guys! |

Well here is the o2 sensors wiring in EF/EL and the box on the right in the diagram is the ECU.
However there is 3 wires coming from the sensor to the ECU and I don't know which one it would be.

Awesome fowlerj that narrows it down for me. I'll relook at the Max Ellery wiring diagram. Cheers mate!

Yes pin 35 off the ecu is the Sensor signal, I checked in the gregorys ef manual, because I am installing a air/fuel gauge this afternoon !

Unless you have a wideband sensor the gauge will basically read max or min.

Yeh I read that a wide band sensor is needed so the gauge is accurate, where could I get one from, I was thinking autobarn, supercheap or some auto shop

Thanks guys, atleast we're narrowing things down!
Sam from the Street Fords Forums posted this... "HEGO will be one of the pin-outs on the ECU, or you can intercept the wire anywhere between the ECU and the O2 sensor (so long as you can identify it)." |

well the connection came loose before i got an accurate reading, but is was on lean and moving up to stoch, so im not exactly sure what the reading was, tomorrow arvo ill be soldering it so ill post up some pics and let ya's know how it went, but i think to get an accurate reading i need a wide band sensor!

i got my air fuel gauge in but without the wide band sensor the needle jumps around, but you get a rough idea of where its reading
