g'day guys
just a quick Q how hard, and time consuming, is it to replace the airbag module on an EF as i had a look under the dash and there seemed a s**t load of wire to negotiate to just get to it, let alone change it. Is there like a quick way of doing this or does it just look worse than it really is??? ............... man i hope so cheers in advance |

Not sure but isn't the airbag module behind and far above the fuse pannel ?
If this is the case, stick your head under the dash and you should see a big white plug that connects the dash harness to the firewall/right side engine harness. This big white plug is held in place by a black metal bracket which is fastened to the dash lower by two bolts near the steering column. If you disconnect the big white plug by undoing the small bolts, then remove the two bolts on the metal bracket, you shuld be able to pull this stuff out the way and look up to where the airbag module resides - use a torch Unfortunately i can't say if the bolts holding airbag module are accessable but it's worth moving the big white plug and taking a gander.. if you can then access the needed bolts, this should save you removing the dash Good luck with it.
