i wanted to know if you can change the dial aircon control in the El futura to a digital fairmont one. do the just swap. i meant do you just take the old one out and plug the new one in or do you have to mess around.

Look under "Website Navigation" on the left for the fordmod home page.
You will find "Modifications Documents" so click on it.
Under "Modicfications All", look for "Adding Climate Control" and click on it.
Read the document as it will answer almost all of your question.

Make "Modifications Documents" your best friend as others seem to have gone to lots of effort in writting these documents for your use.

You have to remove your dash and there is much messing around with wires and other bits and bots so i guess that answers that part of your question.

Cheers.
