Hi
I have an XG Falcon Ute. On a recent trip to the coast from Canberra, towing a 1300kg caravan, I noticed that whenever I put the car under a reasonable load the aircon and fresh airflow turned off. This was not on full throttle but as low as half throttle under load. I assume it is the WAC (wide open throttle aircon) relay playing up. Anyone had similar and fixed it. Today I tried a full throttle acceleration run, without the van, but the air didn't turn off. I have noticed the air turn off before with a loaded box trailer on. Any ideas appreciated. DCM

Thanks XGCowboy.
I did ask a mechanic once, a few years back when I first noticed it, he said XG's didn't have a relay that turned the aircon off. Shows that you have to be carefull who you talk to, as the manual even shows a picture of the relay. I will try replacing the relay, if that doesn't work it looks like a trip to an Aircon specialist before the next trip but have to do the brakes first. DCM

Yea okies, i mite have to get it looked at so it doesent happen again, but same boat as u again with the breakes, time for new pads all round and new front rotors... easy but expensive, well, no cheap anyway.
Good luck!
