howdy was just thinkin about gettin some sorta alarm system for me car, can anyone point me in the right direction and how much id be lookin at for a standard setup, perth area too please

around 700 to 900 fitted, cam alarm system are good and not to expensive.

if u want the big ones with ultrasonics ect then u will pay much more

what the?! christ sake

try www.rhinosecurity.com (aus wide) or mongoose alarm, flashpoint, cyclops

diy or get someon to install approx $150-500 depending how extreme u want

If u have cenrtal locking etc u can get alarm upgrades that work of your existing central locking. u set the alarm when u lock the car and vice versa. Saves money as well

just get a "HORNET" its made exactly the same as the "VIPER" and a lot cheaper mate in the buisness. my brother had it put in his eb fairmont and it cost i think 300 shock sensors back up battery sensitivity control bonnet sensor its really good

anyone got other ideas or other types of upgrade alarms for my 95 ef xr6

i got my alarm and immobiliser done at a company called stage
co. theyre in nsw, so i dont know if thats any help. dad said theyre alarm was reccommneded by the NRMA

why is that? guy at autobarn reckons for cars with smartlock its one of the best ways to go.

A better question is what alarms CAN'T you fit to falcons (smartlock)

You can get paging alarms for around $150 on ebay.

If I could wire that up to sound an the alarm and page me when someone breaks in I'd be happy for smartlock to do it's thing and take care of the rest.

about 1 km (1000m :P )

I don't know if it's compatible with smartlock though. I've heard a few people say they bought X or Y alarm and it didn't work - so I wanna know what it is about X , Y or Z alarm that doesn't work with the ford/smartlock set up
