I just installed a trip computer into the EF and surprise surprise, there's a problem.

It doesn't "wake up".

It illuminates perfectly when a button is pressed but won't turn on with the ignition!

Now before everyone just copies and pastes a link to the technical documents...

I have the data line soldered onto the wire coming from pin 14 on the cluster and, just to be 110% sure, soldered onto pin 1 on the trip computer!

I checked with the multimeter and I've got a perfect connection right from pin 14 to pin 1.

I have absolutely no idea what else to try...

What have I missed?!!!!

All fixed... Helps if you connect to pin 14... not pin 13
