Howdy Interior Gurus :)

On the weekend, I put in white LEDs for the instrument cluster - the problem I have is that the speedo needle, volt needle and oil needle don't light up properly...I know this is a common issue for most that have done this...is there anyway of overcoming this ? I like how it all looks thus far...but would like more consistency...I know it has to be possible, as I have seen some really well done LED clusters on here that all seem to light up properly !

I've used the ones in the doco - 7000cmd with 540 ohm resistors.

Any help appreciated lads !

Gracias,
Steve

colour of the needle shouldn't be an issue if using white LEDs. Its only a problem if using coloured LEDs such as blue. As for uneven lighting, try flattening the tops of the LEDs or sanding the sides.

sand them down flat....i actually filed them down flat and then sanded the sides. the light diffracts better so the light covers more of the area u want.

ROFL ! Hey, I'm not as adventurous as others on here...gimme a break man :P I do like the white LED look though...first saw it in Ch0c0's EL when he was in Melbourne for a bit...looked very well done IMHO...speaking of which - time to take some happy snaps...be nice if Dan could take some of his EL to refresh my memory again too though :)

Cheers,
Steve
