Never heard of 'plane grey', but whatever color it is you can paint it your self, just buy some gloss black vinyl paint at super cheap for about $12, clean the part you want painted and apply light coats over a few hours and it comes up excellent.
And it is very durable when done correctly, i painted a gear knob about 8 month ago in a daily driver and it is still perfect, i only expected it to last a short time!!! After a few days wipe on mothers trim protector, should be a lot cheaper and easier than replacing part of your interior!!! |

get an AU series 1 classic or XLS facsia from ford or a wrecker. They came in black (warm charcoal) like the AUII/III had

Even better their is a mob somewhere. that spray them for you in a carbon fibre look or alloy look(silver). I only suggest this because you are going to spray it why not get the carbon fibre patern. it look pretty good. similar to whats in proton GTI's.
cheers Ads. P.S. its a painful removing the centre thingy. you will need a coathangers to remove the stereo and take out the bolts behind the stereo and behind the ash tray. its very combersome. and don't start Yanking at it either it does come out. happy consoling
