anyone had probs with the lcd lights on a au dash and is there a easy fix they seem like little bugers

they're a backlit lcd with two seperate lights. one of mine works intermittently and just requires a tap on the dash in the right spot to get it working again
 i'd rate the au as having the WORSTE instrument cluster ever to pull out. it's like they designed it to never come out again without wrecking stuff.

yer but i've already done the e series one close to forty three thousand times so it's much easier for me
 i'm a boilermaker, if a hammer can't fix it you need a bigger one. me and late model cars don't get along so well lol haven't touched the bf yet and don't plan to. the au is like trying to get a square peg out of a round hole.

what about the globes they seem like a s**t of a thing to get working iv got the dash out thats easyer than the ef i know that just goto pull it in the rite angal

yer when i had mine out for the sheer purpose of doing the dodgy lcd light i ended up putting it all back together and kept tapping it back on when it's out. I'm sure there's a way, I just ran out of patience...fail. lol
changing a globe is easy enough, intermittent dodgy electrical connections do my head in.

i know what you mean i just tried to make up some white led lights for it but the leds are to directonal so back to drawing bord with the leds ford want blody $8.90 for each light bugger that when iv got plenty of leds hanging round
