has any one put an au xr6 or ba dash and center console in their el? i would like to fit an au xr6 dash and console in my el xr6 just wondering if its possible and if so how and some pics if any one has just so i can see how it looks.

if the el is ur daily i wouldnt even try to put a ba dash and console in cause u need all the wiring engine transmission... dunno bout the au dash though

i've never seen the au dash in a el, as they are ugly, apart from the fairmont one.
But i've seen the au console which is a good looker, shouldnt be to hard.

Scratch the ba then. I don't know I'd rather the au xr 6 dash over the el one simply due to the colour. And I don't want to spray the el One will make it look cheap.

u can get proper spray paint for like the dash and door trim.. called like vinyl dye or something... def dnt use normal paint

yeah i know but ive seen it on the actual dash and it look pox.doesnt look to bad when you spay the facia and afew other things but i dont think it looks good when you spray the vinal.

The AU has the worst looking dash. Copy the EL GT dash colors it will look heaps better

EL with standard grey will still look better than the AU black style.

If you want to change the colour of the EL vinyl dash, get a spare dash from the wreckers and get it re-wrapped in the vinyl colour you want...might cost you a fair bit, but definitely won't look crap. I was planning this, but laziness prevails rather quickly.

yeah el gt interior looks good.does any one know if theres a thread where some one fits the centerconsole of the au into the el?

The 'Search' button is your friend.
It's an XH, but the same principle. I am looking for a decent AU console to fit in my EF wagon. But ATM it's pretty low on my list of priorities.
