This is for you AU guru's lol.

My RHR window got stuck down yesterday, i was spewing as i put a new reg in it when i bought the car.

I ran a power tester through it today and i have no power at the back door plug at all, although from the drivers switch there is power coming out for both up and down for the RHR window.

Obviously something has come adrift here and before i go tearing it apart i thought i'd jump on and see if anyone else has had this problem?

Looks like a rooted reg, i just ran straight power to the plug on the motor and got nothing.
Just found it strange how i never got power out of the rear switch though.

Could be a combination of both - rare, but does happen.
Possibly the disabler for the rears power might have crappy contacts (AU's have them as like E series ??)

Unbolt and support the window, and try power to the winder without any weight/load on it.
I don't think there was any huge difference between the AU units and the earlier ones - there is a circlip and cover that comes off to reveal the drum and cable assy - may be an easy fix.
Rears usually don't get any where near the same use as the fronts.

Mine gets stuck every now and then, but in my case it's just a build up of crap in the rear switch stopping all power. When it happens, you can't move it with either the front or rear buttons.

Yeah i think reg is shagged, i ran a wire with direct power and she's dead, must be water getting into the pricks or something as they are so common.

List price on them now is $196 +, cost me $154 all up, 18 months ago it was $130.

Piss me off man, for that reason you can't beat wind ups lol.
In all the years i had my XD, only the drivers window f**k up, and it's only a matter of replacing 2 small nylon bushes in the motors on the X series.

This was with the assy out of the door ?? - Try earthing the power window assy to the car using a wire (find a good earth)and cycle the motor again - see if it doesn't start doing some strange things . . . . .
