G'day all.
Help me if you can. I've just fitted my AU Series 3 Futura with Fairmont Ghia door trims (which look great btw), the front door panels have lamps in the bottom rear corners, my doors already had the connectors for these lamps so I figured after connecting these and re assembling the doors they'd just work, but they don't! Why don't they work? I've checked the bulbs and they look okay. Any help is much appreciated. Cheers. |

The block plug is the same, but the ghia one would have had a couple of extra wires in them... you'll need to find them and run them in I'm afraid...
If you get ghia door looms, you will then be able to pick the wires up inside the bottom of the a piller... much easier and neater than running wires though the door grommet... good luck. rgds Frank |

Thanks Frank,
So why would the correct plugs already be in my door if all the wires aren't there? Thanks again, Alan. |

It is possible that your door looms are the same as fairmont and the dash loom isn't....
Pull the grommet from the A pillar and look at the plug that is in there... if it has more wires on one side of the plug than the other... you'll have your answer. |

Thanks again Frank,
Sorry this may be a silly question, is the front pillar the A pillar? I'll have a look when I get to work this morning (during daylight). Cheers, Alan. |
