gday all,

was wondering where i can get hold of a steering wheel boss kit to suit an au s1 ute...

i know its apparently illegal to remove the srs but i want a change and dont drive the ute much so any info would be great.

if they're not sold anywhere, anyone know another boss that fits from another car etc??

cheers
mick

Any EF - AU wheel will fit, and you could have a change by getting a momo wheel off ebay to fit.

BA's will infact fit, (someone on here has done) and they look great, but cruise etc won't work.......

Don't be retarded and remove your airbag tho mate..... if you value breathing, I would let the car do it's thing in the event of a crash.

Why would you want to jeopardise your own safety??

Ef onwards came with airbags, if you look around somebody has a boss kit and aftermarket steering wheel in their ef, and I believe mentioned the part number for the boss kit in the topic.

The airbag is both a safety and legality issue.

Edit: here's the link

Malloy I got it from super cheap it is autotecnica brand the same as the steering wheel and is part number 136

graph my steering wheel came with three inserts a red a black and an anodised blue one autobarn down the road have the wheel on sale at the moment for $100 plus the boss I paid $160 for the wheel alone

I know a ED boss fits a EF-EL so i would presume it would fit AU
