G'Day, Ive spent hours searching through forum topics looking for info on how to put na AU11 XR8 Dash into an AU11 Forte. I know it has been done and documented, but I cant find it. I did find a good guide in 'resources' but it is just for the AU1. Is there a similar one for the AU11?

Papa Smurf, Thanks for the welcome and the reply.
This is the guide that I found in 'resources' but it states "Please Note : At Present the Wiring information is only applicable to the AU Series I Model Falcons. The AUII and AUIII Series have entirely different wiring when compared to the AUI Models And I have been unable to find the next guide that relates to AU11's. Next one I found is for BA's But thanks again anyway

Yeah thats the one that i used to change my ute cluster to the "xr police" cluster u only have to swap 3 wire to the oppsite side as if u plug it straight in now the dials dont light up and couple of other things dont work by memory

Hi Dave... id say the instruction wont work on a b series, jet ute did own a AU...
this is a photo of the correct pins remove from AU3 Forte Dash loom and about to be plugged into a AU3 Fairmont Ghia Cluster, The au1 instructions are fine but one wire isnt the same colour in AU2/3 as it is AU1 but pin locations are all the same, The pin numbers are a bit confusing, they refer to both plugs so pin 1 to 6 and 23 to 28 are on the first plug and pin 7 to 22 are on the other...(in a U shape) # 1. The Park Lamp Dial (+ Positive) Illumination needs to be moved from Pin 13 to Pin 2. # 2. The Dial Negative Dimmer Illumination needs to be moved from Pin 21 to Pin 3. # 3. The ABS Warning Lamp Wire needs to be moved from Pin 8 to Pin 23 # 4. The R.H. Side Indicator wire needs to be moved from Pin 19 to Pin 26 now you will only have one plug, i used a small flatblade screw drive to push the pins out of the plug, then took the photo, i squeezed the end of the pin a bit to make the hole a bit smaller, then just plugged them into the cluster let us know how you go Cheers Cam
