morning all..

was hunting at the wreckers today i found an au3 fairmont ghia, and got the cluster out of it... $45, i was cheering... but anyways, i put it into my au2 xl ute and it works. exept for some of the illumination globes. so i swapped them over with the old cluster so i know the globes worked. but it wont illuminate...
its only the background illumination, the needles and the right blinker that done work... all the images, and the lcd display are all illuminated... just wondering if there is anything extra that is needed to upgrade from base cluster to fairmont/fairlane... i know that the ghia has 3 plugs going into the back of the cluster and the base only had 2, but im assuming that the extra plug was for traction control, and all those other high class features...

and another thing that was weird, the door opening display works, except that when both doors are actually open, on the display, its the front right and rear left that are open...
