And to start playing up on christmas eve!
Ok, my AU3 TE50 airbag light has started flashing at me whilst driving. Once the car is turned off the light will go away, only to return after a random time after starting it and driving it again. So it was sent to Fraud last night, and came back with the following: An $85 price tag - bastards Couple of smaller errors to do with the coil...basically need new leads...no biggie. The Airbag light is being caused by an open circuit on the drivers side airbag. It sounds very very much like the clock spring. They quoted me $750 to fix it (because, of course, you can't just buy new contacts/spring etc, you need to buy the wole airbag pad.) So my question is, is there a cheaper way of fixing this? I am making the assumption of course that the air bag is in fact fine. All the buttons work fine as well...I think its just a dead patch or so on the spring. $750 seems awfully steep to me to fix a bad contact... Thanks
