ba shifters operate different as they lift the rod up instead of pushing it down.

Im gonna say EA-AU will fit each other and BA-BF wont fit. Purely because BA operate differently.

But as Dellboy as shown us, its possible to mod it onto an EA.

The early e series arent interchangable. EF and EL are different to EA EB and ED

im pretty sure ea-el can be interchanged just the bar inside has to be modified.

au-bf fit and work with abit of modding.

ya cant put a ba shifter straight on a e-series as they work differently.
but in saying that there r a couple of people that have modded the ba shifter to work on a e-series.

i was reading somehwere the rod inside the the ea to ed is diff to the rods in the ef/el ones

Your dead right, EL shifter will fit on EA-ED. I put on on my EA. Yes the shaft is differant I made one up myself. IIRC the shaft in the EL is shorther.
