A friend of mine wants to install a dvd player and screen in his BA Falcon but is it possible to install it into where the existing sound system is by customising the fascia and keep the climate control and ducts in place but remove the controls for the existing sound system, and roughly how much would a custom job like this cost?

He'd still have the climate contol buttons and air ducts but from the ducts down modify the fascia to fit the dvd player and screen and get rid of the existing cd player the buttons for it and screen above it I saw a pic with everything removed but to install everything you would have to cut and modify the framing where the existing instrumentation and cd player and controls for it are mounted
modify from the ducts down to the climate control buttons and a custom plate made to suit dvd player and screen mounted in place maybe have it as 3 pieces with the dvd and screen fascia seperate from the climate control buttons and ducts or make it as a 1 piece fascia Last edited by falcon-nut81 on Sun Jan 22, 2012 8:34 pm, edited 1 time in total. |
