Hey all, been having a look at the back of a BA door trim with regards to swapping the padded armrest inserts from another model BA. As most of you will know, the BA trims are in multiple parts, with each section held together with plastic posts that have the tops melted over to secure them in place. The only way that I can see to remove/replace the padded section is to carefully grind off the melted over section of each post and then refit by drilling a small hole in the remainder of the post and fitting wafer headed short screws (maybe with a washer) to secure the new padded section.
Anyone have any more ideas/comments on this or maybe someone has already done this and had success?....cheers Linz. |

I'm putting an XR interior into my Mercury Silver BA XT wagon so I'm doing a custom job mixing the XT light grey/dark charcoal plastics with the XR Plexis Grey front and rear seats and door trim inserts. I've already done the BF XR front bar and BF XR 18" alloys so I want to carry on with the same theme inside. |
