Hi fellas I know this is a common issue with the ba/bf Falcons but it's driving me up the wall. I just had a brand new cable put in, and it all works etc fine.
Only problem with mine is it does not stay in place and is just dangling on the ground. What is a permanent fix for this? Anyone out there in Melbourne who is a pro at fixing them? Cheers |

Not that I can see. I want to try and source a long term solution.

Well the bonnet latch hooks and clips on the bottom of the fuse box and stays there. Sometimes a dab of super glue underneath the bonnet latch will help it. Usually done if the fuse box mounting for it is snapped.

if the fuse box is broken, is there anyway of making a metal bracket for it so it doesn't happen in the future?

No that ive heard of. You can buy replacement fuse boxes easily luckily. Just a pain in the a*** to change over. Mine is broken a tad. A small dab of super glue on the new bonnet latch has been holding well. The prevention is never to pull the lever too hard.

Its simply a s**t design. They stretch quick and because of that you pull harder as its not opening then snap..
I just changed mine a month ago. I think im on my 3rd cable now.
