Hi,
I have read a lot of threads about the dodgy BA falcon central locking. I too suffer this problem Rather than replacing the whole assembly, i was hoping to buy the gear alone off eBay and replace that. I have read some threads where people have done this and it has broken straight away. Has anyone done this successfully (and perhaps to more than just one unit)?? Could anyone recommend a good seller of these? I only need 1 but if it works well i would probably buy a spare considering the frequency of this issue in the BA's. Cheers |

i too have suffered this problem. strangely enough it was only the passenger front door that done it.
i brought second hand units and went thru 2 in a month. the 3rd second hand unit has now lasted almost a year. but now that i have said that im sure its gonna go soon. as for replacing that little plastic gear i pulled the other stuffed ones apart and its a really simple task. if you know how to get the actuator out wich also is easy when you have done it once or twice then its just a couple extra screws.
