hi guys my ba km to empty is playing funny buggers when i fill it up it can start at 548 till empty then every time after this its lower and lower .
Un less i reset the system (disconect the battery) it will neaver say the orginal amount again is there anything i can do (apart from disconecting the batt every time i fill up ) to fix this issue the gauge and pump have been replaced recently as well
But it was like this before as well

it will determine the distance to empty on your average ltrs per 100..
so if you drive on the freeway on one tank and then you fill it, your next tanks distance to empty will be based on your average consumption from the last tank.
drive harder or sit in traffic on the that tank the next tanks distance to empty will be less then the last..

Troyman is correct.
Sitting in traffic will cause the fuel consumption to increase. You are still using fuel but not going anywhere hence the fluctuations getting less.

Do you mean that it's still displaying a half tank worth of fuel even if you fill right up? EG being @ half tank you have 230km to empty, and then when you refill it still says 230?

the actuall gauge says its full but the km to empty doesnt increase when u fire it up with a full tank
but if i disconect the battery for a few min it will then read 549 km to empty and re set
but i have to disconect the batt every time to get this when the tank is filled

Damn. That would suck having to constantly redo all your settings just so you know roughly the km per tank you're getting lol

why reset it??
just drive it and see how many kms you get from the tank?
its only a estimate of fuel usage and has no effect or real acuracy on your economy.
