Is there any way of transporting the headlining in a sedan safely...i have a BA sedan and no trailer so i want to get another headliner from a wrecker (i know if you put the back seat down the hole is not big enough to fit the headliner)..that way i can remove mine at home replace it with the wrecker one and fix mine in my own time when i can find the material and stuff to do the job..
Is there any instructions on how one person can replace the material on a BA sedan with pictures.. Is there anyone in Adelaide that can replace my headlining cheaply cheapest i found is $280 to come out, remove, replace the the material and backing and the re-install the roof lining as i am unemployed and sickness benefits $280 is a bit to much for me. Also looking for a good place to buy the material and glue in Adelaide. |

why not save the $$ and just go without the headlining for a few days while you repair it?
btw..... get a high temp adhesive, most contact adhesives arent up to the job |

Personally I'd hold off a few weeks get the $$ together and get the mobile bloke out, have seen pictures of his quality of work and seems quiet reasonable for the cost and being able change the color of the lining, with the optional extra of embossing. remove and re fit it on site.

Take it out the passengers front door.
Lay front seats back flat then put the handbrake off shifter In low then carefully slid out mind the corners and the centre piller tabs. Once out use a hard Bristol brush to remove the old foam once it's clean you can glue the new material on. And refit the reverse to removal

Yes you will bow it a little but not enough to break it.
When I was working would do at least 4 a month. Just let it air out over night before refitting the glue is very toxic.
