iv seen xr seat in an escort but they were touching in the middle..
go the fairmont i would look weird with xr on the seat in an esky...

actualy its called retrofitting... and i dont think fitting a falcon interior in an escort would work all that well. for one thing the escort is no where near the same size as a ba falcon. there are plenty of nice interiors in smaller new cars that you could attempt to fit. alot of work would be involved too.

I think na2fairlane is right, once the seats are in, with the width of the Escort, there won't be enough room to fit the centre console. Also, there is too many reasons why you shouldn't install the dash, like the fact that, once again, it won't fit, you have to buy an expensive aftermarket EcU to run the cluster, not to mention all the other crap that is attatched to it, and the list just goes on...

As nice as it would be to get it all in, I am thinking you will have to stick to the seats, and the front ones, at that.

LOL, i remember that ebay add with the ED that had a BA dash, it stuck out that far you could only put a kid in the front, imagine an Escort?
Also, big seats in small car look ridiculous.

Go for something that's sizable.

Dunno if i will be or not, but at least i don't go posting s**t on forums trying to pose that "i'm gunna do this.. i'm gunna do that".. y'know.. stuff that'll never eventuate.

Oh and you're totally right, an EL gli is a much better car to own than a BA XR8, i'm SUUUURE thats the reason why you can't afford, i mean, choose to keep it.

You should race the AU for slips.

Oh btw it would be cheaper to buy some decent (not ebay cheapies) race seats and fit them into the escort than buy some overpriced factory optioned seats from a wrecker.

Aftermarket seats will come with rails to help you fit them as well.

Something like this would fit pretty well I think.

sorry a bit off topic

Myself and a mate of mine we once put a XF dash and seats into a Vj val about 7 years ago the xf dash was a few inchs wider than the one in the vj,
but the front seats fitted in just had to changed the rails and the back seat fitted as well just had to ajust a few spots on the seat.
