On the 4-pin connector behind the fuse box for the Mobile Phone, one of the pins is for 'muting' the main stereo so the audio input (seperate 2-wire plug) for the phone takes precedence.
Does anyone know whether this mute needs to be grounded or have 12V on it to provide the mute? It will make a difference to the wiring harness I'm putting together. If no-one knows I'll go out and test it myself. The workshop manual mentions the pin but I can't find anything about how to activate it (yet). Lukeyson |

It needs to be grounded, when that wire is grounded the stereo will mute

Bugger that it's not the other way around, but thanks. Lukeyson |
