On the 4-pin connector behind the fuse box for the Mobile Phone, one of the pins is for 'muting' the main stereo so the audio input (seperate 2-wire plug) for the phone takes precedence.

Does anyone know whether this mute needs to be grounded or have 12V on it to provide the mute?

It will make a difference to the wiring harness I'm putting together. If no-one knows I'll go out and test it myself.

The workshop manual mentions the pin but I can't find anything about how to activate it (yet).

It needs to be grounded, when that wire is grounded the stereo will mute

Bugger that it's not the other way around, but thanks.
